ONNEC Group is Hiring a Project Manager Near Weehawken, NJ

The Project Manager – Infrastructure (PM) is a key position in the delivery of Support Services to ONNEC Clients.

Reporting to the account Operations Manager, the PM will be site based and responsible for the delivery of Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC) work and Infrastructure Projects at client sites (In certain circumstance this may be multiple Data Centre and/or Workplace technology Services locations).

This role will be based from New Jersey area Weehawken & Somerset, with some travel to Connecticut and Ashburn Virginia. Start Date for this role is end of July beginning of August 2024.

The Project Manager – Infrastructure is responsible for the implementation of Project activities and full project lifecycle which includes Commercial, Contract, Quality and Health,Safety and Environmental Compliance.

Responsibilities of our Project Manager will include:

  • Conduct yourself professionally, with courtesy and respect to all internal and client team members.

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of all processes and procedures.
  • Follow all required processes and procedures as provided by the client.
  • Ensure all mandatory training, learning documentation and self-attestation is complete on time.
  • Maintain Full systems access via mandatory training, learning documentation and self-attestation.
  • Ensure SLA's are met and reported on using the correct processes and systems provided.
  • Escalate Issues and Risks to your line manager.
  • Adhere to all client processes and procedures.
  • Compliance with Health & safety Procedures.
  • Compliance with Quality Standards.
  • Maintain and protect data quality.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team ethos.
  • Carryout regular performance reviews of direct reports identify training and/or development requirements, implement and monitor progress.
  • Ensure all direct reports reach the required skills matrix scores.
  • Chair regular team meetings and attend client and vendor meetings where necessary.
  • Contribute to delivery and service improvements.
  • Support other ONNEC teams working on campus.
  • Adhere to and promote ONNEC Employee Engagement Programs.
  • Adhere to all internal processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all mandatory training, learning documentation and self-attestation is completed on time.
  • Compliance with Health & safety Procedures.
  • Compliance with Quality Standards.
  • Timely submissions of regular reports.
  • Timely submissions and approval of timesheets and expenses, adhering to payroll and financial reporting cut-off deadlines.
  • Timely Submission of Project Reports (Risks, Issues, Progress, Financial etc)
  • Documentation upkeep (required as part of ONNEC & Client processes)
  • Tracking of daily activities, task completion and project status tracking.
  • Ensure that health and safety is communicated and adhered to throughout the Term;
  • Ensure a risk assessment is completed for each new project before commencement; and responsible for maintaining the health and safety site documentation for all projects.
  • Liaise with the Firm to plan the delivery for all projects;
  • Survey the requirements of all new projects and collate the necessary information before issuing quotations;
  • Ensure there is sufficient resource available for all projects;
  • Issue Gantt charts to all stakeholders in the project in order to understand the work flow; and ensure all financial and resource planning are in place during project initiation.
  • Ensure that Vendor's and the Firm’s quality standards are maintained and adhered to at all times;
  • Ensure that Vendor's and the Firm’s quality management system are updated as required by the Firm;
  • Ensure all project administration is done in a timely and accurate manner; and promote quality and efficiency in delivering each project.

Project Delivery

  • Ensure all projects are completed within agreed constraints;
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure all required materials are delivered to site in a timely manner;
  • Coordinate third party contractors delivering services;
  • Ensure that Vendor's and the Firm’s quality standards are maintained by all Personnel;
  • Responsible for quality assurance of all works done by Personnel (including prompt escalation to the Firm of any issues);
  • Responsible for financial tracking throughout the Term; and engage with all the Firm’s departments involved with any given project.
  • Perform additional tasks as instructed by the Client and/or ONNEC Management.

What we’re looking for in our Project Manager:

Essential

  • Minimum of 7 years working in banking IT environment.
  • Minimum of 7 Years in a Data Centre & Office Moves Adds and Changes environment (IT Hardware deployment).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in structured cabling installation, fault finding and testing with fluke test equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of structured cabling standards and cable types (FTP,UTP & Optical Fibre)
  • Excellent MS Office Suite experience (Outlook, Excel, Word etc)
  • Self-starter, organized, detailed-oriented and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Prioritization skills and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Expert knowledge of Asset Management Systems
  • Expert knowledge of Ticketing Systems
  • Expert understanding of complex change management and service delivery processes.
  • Ability to mentor and train new starters on all systems, processes and procedures.
  • Ability to approve / sign off training modules.
  • Ability to lead / supervise shift activities.
  • Ability to lead / supervise special projects from design through to handover.
  • Experienced Service Delivery professional.
  • Support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures and project delivery disciplines.
  • Supervisory of people and management skills.
  • Experience of managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services
  • Satisfactory Skills Matrix score
  • Be an ambassador for ONNEC Managed Services, working across the business to provide effective communication and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue and cooperation between departments.

  • Previous training / qualifications within Information Technology field.
  • BICSI Technician Training
  • Certified Data Centre Technician Professional (CDCTP®)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate – Data Center (CCNA DCICN DCICT)
  • Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP®)
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library – Foundation & Expert (ITIL®
